Matthew Horan is a native of St. John’s, NL and played his minor hockey in the Celtics organization. Matthew was born in 1985, and was known for his rugged style of play on the ice. Horan was a very effective checking forward in Bantam and Midget hockey, and moved on to play Junior ‘B’ with the DF Barnes Jr Celtics from 2004-2007. Since graduating from Junior hockey, Matthew has been in and out of the local Senior hockey scene; his most recent stop being with the Northeast Senior Eagles.

When he’s not at the rink, Matthew uses his Education degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) to teach Language Arts and Social Studies at Villanova Junior High School in CBS, NL.
