Redmond Hunt was born on August 23rd, 1996 in St. John’s, NL. Redmond was a member of Xtreme for many years, before moving away to pursue his hockey dreams.

Hunt’s hockey dreams took him to Kingston, Massachusetts to play for the Bay State Breakers of the USPHL. While Hunt experienced lukewarm success outside the province, he returned to “The Rock” after one season to suit up for the St. John’s Maple Leafs Midget AAA team. After one season with the Leafs, Hunt became the starting goaltender of the St. John’s Junior ‘B’ Caps and has not looked back. Hunt’s accomplishments at the junior level have been nothing short of spectacular, culminated by winning a league championship and a playoff MVP award in 2014-15.

When Hunt isn’t stopping pucks, he is at the rink working with X Hockey goaltenders. Hunt is head goalie instructor Marek Benda’s right hand man, and the two work very well together. Xtreme Hockey hopes that the duo are together for many years to come.
