Clark Bishop was born on March 29th, 1996 in St. John’s, NL. Clark is a second generation Xtreme Hockey player, as his father (Steve) went to Randy’s hockey schools and was also a staff member of Randy’s program. Clark was an X Hockey player from Squirt to Bantam, and has also been a summer camp staff member.

“Bish” played his minor hockey in the Avalon Celtics system. While playing with the St. John’s Privateers (Midget AAA), Clark was scouted by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, who made him their first round selection in 2012. Clark’s skating, grit and leadership at the major junior level caught the eye of Carolina Hurricanes management, who made Bishop a 5th round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Bishop has also donned the Canadian colours at international tournaments such as the Ivan Hlinka Memorial.

Newfoundland hockey fans should keep an eye on Bishop, as he may be the next Newfoundlander to play in the NHL.
